Description	With AT&T’s recent purchase of Dobson Communications – which was operating in Alaska as Cellular One; now as AT&T Wireless – AT&T Alascom and AT&T Wireless are working to pool their philanthropy resources (see sidebar). Nonprofits can apply directly to AT&T Alascom for grants ranging from $100 to $5,000. A second resource is the AT&T Foundation, which is focusing on education for 2008. Grants through the Foundation range from $1,000 to $25,000. Note that AT&T Alascom works closely with AT&T Foundation and likes to give them notice of proposals heading their way.
