Alaska charitable contributions are awarded to nonprofit public, civic, educational, fraternal, and business organizations. The focus is on organizations whose efforts maintain and improve Alaskans' quality of life and the economic health of the state. Priority is given to communities where ConocoPhillips has relationships related to ongoing or future operations and communities where company employees live and work. The company's areas of interest include education (both K-12 and higher); civic affairs and the arts; health and safety; nature and the environment; and youth. Types of support include project support; general support; conferences, seminars, and workshops; capacity building; and challenge and matching grants. ConocoPhillips also donates surplus furniture, industrial equipment, and office equipment to area schools and nonprofits. Sharing the use of the ConocoPhillips Atrium for fund-raising functions, donating items for prizes and auctions, and providing graphic support are additional ways the company supports area nonprofits. For more information on ConocoPhillips and their community involvement, visit their website. Their general corporate contributions application period is open June 1 through August 1 for their next calendar year budget; apply online.
