NEW!! FEI Grantwriting Training Goes Online
The Funding Exchange is pleased to announce that we now offer a webinar version of our popular 2-day Grantwriting Overview class for aspiring or moderately-experienced grant writers located beyond the Fairbanks, Alaska area.
This is an overview class to the world of grants, familiarizing students with the best places to look for the types of funds they are seeking and the basics of writing a grant proposal, and familiarizing students with the terminology and structure of the field of grantseeking. The material and handouts will be identical to FEI’s Two Day Grantwriting Overview class.
We are currently offering two sessions:
October 13, 14, 19, & 20, 2009 from 1 pm - 4 pm Eastern Time
November 12, 13, 19, & 20, 2009 from 1 pm - 4 pm Eastern Time
These classes will be delivered in four 3-hour webinar sessions. All four sessions will include the handout materials that are included in our face-to-face 2-Day Grantwriting Overview class. Intended for beginning to moderately-experienced grant writers, Sharon Gherman CEO/President of the Funding Exchange will moderate this workshop.

Technical Requirements: To participate in a webinar, you’ll need a computer with an Internet connection and access to a telephone (a speakerphone or headset works best because of the long time periods you’ll be connected). Audio for the webinar is received via an 800-number.You’ll receive specific instructions for connecting to the webinar with your registration confirmation.
Use of the Funding Exchange’s grantwriting handbook, The Art of Grantwriting: Communicating your Vision to Funders, is not required or included in the class fee, but may be purchased separately for $50 (a 50% discount over the retail price of $99) if desired. Handouts will be provided to students, as well as a copy of the PowerPoint presentation slides used in the webinar.
This is not a hands-on class, but an introductory or refresher overview – if you want to practice on an actual proposal as you’re learning, you’ll want to register for our face to face 5-day Grantwriting Intensive. The Grantwriting Intensive is offered in Fairbanks, and in other communities throughout the US on a sponsorship or contract basis.
The 2-day Overview Webinar is also presented on a contract basis. This is a great option for a staff retreat or Board of Directors workshop! Contact our office for details.
