Alaska Funders

Kiewit Construction

Peter Kiewit Foundation
8805 Indian Hills Drive, Suite 225
Omaha, Nebraska 68114
Phone: 402-344-7890
www.peterkiewitfoundation.org

Areas of interest of the Peter Kiewit Foundation for grantmaking purposes are broad and include the arts, education, children and families, community development, health, and human services. The Peter Kiewit Foundation funds programs, facilities, and capital projects. The Foundation is interested in receiving applications for specific, defined projects or programs, but generally excludes funding requests for support of debt retirement, operational deficits, hospitals or health care facilities.

The Foundation does not make grants or loans to individuals, for-profit businesses, other private foundations, general fund drives or annual appeals, event sponsorships, routine public works projects, or any activity which could influence elections or legislation. Other categories Mr. Kiewit excluded from funding eligibility are individual elementary and secondary schools and school districts, churches and endowment.

Kiewit employees value stewardship and recognize how special it is to be part of building a community fabric. Whether building a local hospital, healing our neighbors or a regional airport, connecting our communities – Kiewit makes a difference. But our commitment to community extends much further than physical construction; it includes relationships as well. Our Volunteer Time Off Program allows employees to receive paid time off for local volunteerism. Giving through time or corporate charitable sponsorship, the communities within which we live, work and play are important.
